	Dr Janet Barker BDS MFGDP DPDS
	Principle Dentist
	Janet qualified with Honours from the Royal London Hospital in 1977. She completed two further Diplomas in General Dental Practice and Post Graduate Dental Surgery. As the practice principal, she places great emphasis on Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and all practice members are encouraged to undertake regular training courses. Janet has completed training in Dental Implants and now offers this treatments to our patients. General Dental Council No: 51691

Dr Touraj Razavi BDS
Associate Dentist
Touraj qualified at Cardiff Dental Hospital in 1999. He then stayed on and gained postgraduate experience working with children and in the field of cosmetic dentistry. Touraj joined the practice in 2002 after a year working in general practice in Exeter. Touraj has also completed a part-time clinical attachment at University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, specialising in oral surgery. General Dental Council No: 75989

	Dr Yvonne Pemberton BDS
	Associate Dentist
	Yvonne qualified at Cardiff in 1976. After qualifying she worked at Cardiff Dental Hospital and then moved to Bristol Dental Hospital where she worked for 11/2 years. Yvonne joined Alan Durbin’s practice at Gardner Road in 1984 and worked there until 2004 when she joined Combe Road. General Dental Council No: 50637

Dr Alison Chapman BDS MFDS (RCS Eng)
Associate Dentist
Alison qualified from Bristol University in 2001. She has worked in a number of settings including general practice and the community service - treating special needs patients. For the last 2 years Alison has been working in different specialisations within Bristol Dental Hospital and has become increasingly interested in paediatric dentistry. She is now a lecturer in paediatric dentistry and is married, with a one year old daughter. General Dental Council No: 79559

	Anne Wynne EDH
	Hygienist
	Ann qualified as a hygienist at Bristol Dental Hospital in 1993 and joined the practice in February 2005. Ann is married with 2 children, Aiman and Joseph.

Sharron Davies RDN OHE
Dental Nurse & Oral Health Educator
Sharron has been at this practice since it opened in 1994. Previously she had had many years experience of Dental Nursing and qualified in 1995 with Merit at Bristol Dental Hospital. In continuing her postgraduate training she completed and passed her Oral Health Educators certificate with Merit in 1999 and is a qualified First Aider. Sharron has passed her City & Guilds in Computer Studies Level 1&2.

	Sandra (Lu) Black RDN OHE
	Dental Nurse & Oral Health Educator
	Lu qualified as a Dental Nurse at Cardiff Hospital in 1978 and has adapted to the changes in dentistry by attending many courses to update her knowledge. As part of her CPD, she has qualified as an Oral Health Educator and a Support to Stop Smoking Advisor. Lu came to the practice in the early days of 1995. Her son is at work and her daughter is at senior school.

Heather Fionda RDN
Dental Nurse
Heather worked as a dental nurse some years ago and has had a varied career since. She took up dental nursing again with this practice in 2000 and has since taken and passed her National Dental Nursing Diploma following a course at Bristol Dental Hospital. Heather is also a qualified First Aider. She lives locally and has a grown up son and a daughter at university.

	Trudy Stone RDN OHE
	Dental Nurse & Oral Health Educator
	Trudy joined the practice in 2002 and works part time as a Dental Nurse. She qualified as an Oral Health Educator in 1989. Trudy has two small children who keep her busy.

Emma Hockings RDN OHE
Dental Nurse & Oral Health Educator
Emma joined our practice in October 2002. She qualified for her Dental Nursing Diploma at Bristol Dental Hospital in 2004 and qualified in 2005 as an Oral Health Educator. Emma is currently on maternity leave with her son, Stanley, born in March 2007.

	Jenny Ford RDN
	Dental Nurse
	Jenny started dental nursing in 1978 and has worked in Nailsea, Southampton and Portishead. She gained her RDN qualifications in 1992 whilst working at the Gardner Road Dental practice. Jenny worked at Gardner Road for 18 years before moving to Combe Road in 2004. Jenny is married, with 2 daughters and one granddaughter.

Emma Purnell RDN
Dental Nurse & Receptionist
Emma joined the practice in February 2007 to provide temporary cover whilst Emma Hockings is on maternity leave. Emma qualified as a dental nurse in Bristol 1996 and has gained a further nursing qualification for sedation sessions. Emma lives in Clevedon and has 2 young children.

	Rachael Harris
	Receptionist
	Rachael has lived in Portishead for 15 years and has worked at the practice since 1999. She is married, with two daughters.

Richard (Dick) Barker CEng MCMI
Administrator
Dick is Janet’s husband. He works part-time as the practice administrator, looking after some of the paperwork and various maintenance jobs around the practice. He also works on reception occasionally to cover when other staff are on holiday or off sick.

	Dr Colin Barker PhD
	Web Master
	Colin is Janet's son. He works for the NHS National Genetics Education and Development Centre raising an awareness of genetics in the NHS workforce. He is married, with one son.
